Opening for Joe Satriani and Dream Theater
| My first major venue King's X gig. Thank you to Metal Blade for getting my photo pass, and to Dave (Ego) and Doug (Orama) for putting in a good word for me behind the scenes. I got some very nice shots along with some very run of the mill shots, even though the stage was chest-high and the venue rules gave me only 15 minutes in which to do so! Perhaps next time I'll try to get a VIP pass along with my photo pass so I could shoot the whole show. Doug was on the west side of the stage so he caught the remaining rays of setting sun and was lighted pretty well. Ty was really groovin' on his darker side, so unfortunately there is some blur in many of his pix. Jerry was quite far in the back so I didn't get many shots of him at all. However, because of the stage depth, I did get some pretty cool full band shots, so that's the tradeoff. |
